Police appeal after man attacked on Blackburn street
17 JanuaryPolice are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted in Beechwood Road, Blackburn.
The 19-year-old man was assaulted around 10pm on Monday 16th January when he was approached by two men who attacked him, cutting his face and hand. The suspects then ran off and may have used a dark-coloured car to leave the area.
An ambulance was contacted and the man was taken to St John's Hospital where he was treated for his injuries.
The first suspect is described as being white, early 20s, stocky build, 5ft 6ins - 5ft 7ins tall, with short dark hair and may have had a scar on the left side of his face. He was wearing a black hooded top and black tracksuit trousers and spoke with a Glasgow accent.
The second suspect is described as white, early 20s, slim build, 5ft 10ins tall with ginger hair. He was wearing a blue and white Adidas hooded top and dark tracksuit trousers. He also spoke with a Glasgow accent.
A police spokesperson said: "This man has suffered an injury which may leave a permanent scar as a result of an entirely unprovoked attack, so we would appeal for anyone with any information to contact us immediately.
"In addition, we would be keen to hear from anyone who may recognise the description of the suspect to call us on 0131 311 3131."
