Everybody loves Blackburn! John wins our ‘I love…’ competition

Why do you love Blackburn? That was the question put to local school children in s1blackburn’s special community competition.

Our judges have looked at the entries - and the winner is…. John Gaskin, aged 15 and a pupil at Pinewood School!

John posted about why he loves Blackburn, saying: “I love looking out the window and watching people.

“I like the swing park. I like the butcher's with Jimmy.”

In the competition local school children were asked to tell everyone why they love Blackburn. They just had to pick their favourite thing about Blackburn – maybe their school lollipop lady, a local building or even a favourite club – and then tell us about it in any way we could show on www.s1blackburn.com - a story, a poem, or even a picture they’d drawn or taken.
